May 12th International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day

Hi everyone!

Today is International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day!

FMAUK’s theme this year is ‘Don’t delay, connect today!’ which aims to highlight that early diagnosis, recognition of Fibromyalgia, timely access to evidence based treatment, and peer support are essential for the long term health and wellbeing of people living with Fibromyalgia and their families.

Please feel free to save and share the image below which I’ve made to help inform people about Fibromyalgia, but also to let people know how to find Newcastle Fibromyalgia Support Group!

We’re raising awareness online this International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day through our Facebook pages and our twitter account (@NCLfibro) and we’ll be sharing some posters that I’ve made with some of our amazing members featuring centre stage! I’d encourage all our members to join in and share posts to help raise awareness throughout their friends lists!

For more information on all things International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day visit FMAUK (http://www.fmauk.org/) and follow FMAUK’s Facebook/Twitter accounts to see updates of events happening all over the UK and images you can share online to help raise awareness and understanding of Fibromyalgia!
