International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day is upon us! The 12th of May is our day to raise awareness around the world, online and in real life! Our support group are holding a fundraising stall in the Metrocentre (in the blue zone along from the bus station next to the poundshops) We’ll have different members manning the stall at different points of the day, all members who have offered to help will receive an email or text to remind them of the time slot they’ve agreed to, but it’ll be starting at 9am and finishing up around 3pm so if you’re in the area that day come down to see us! You’ll be surprised how many members of the public come over to talk about Fibromyalgia and ask questions for themselves or loved ones who have the condition.
But if you’re not able to make it down, don’t worry, you can still raise awareness online if you wanted to! Here are some photos you’re welcome to share with your story. With thanks to @chronically_chey for the first 5 photos.
Sometimes it can be hard to share your story online, so please don’t feel like you absolutely have to, but the option is there.
Wishing all the members manning the stall on Friday good luck!
