Just to keep you all updated that the next group meeting is on Monday 16th of October 2017 from 12:30-2:30pm. We have had to increase the price of the meetings as the room hire prices have gone up and we’re losing money at every meeting (luckily as a group we do lots of fundraising so that we can keep providing a safe space to give support to people living with Fibromyalgia but with prices rising we unfortunately need to increase the price a little) so members will be £2 per meeting and if it’s your first meeting it’s completely free of charge, there’s also a £1 sub if you want light refreshments of tea/coffee/juice/biscuits.
With all that out of the way I’ll get on to telling you what will be happening at the month’s meeting. This month is our AGM meeting, which means we as a group will be going over everything we have done with the past year, fundraising events and so on, and it’s your chance to raise any issues or give feedback on what you would like to get support wise/what kind of guest speakers you would be interested in for the next year’s worth of meetings (so that we can continue to fill up our guest speaker places with relevant professionals). It’s also the time you get to choose your committee members, all current committee members also get the chance to state if they wish to continue on in the role or not. After we have gone over everything for the AGM there will be a chance to mingle and chat to members and connect with people in your community living with Fibromyalgia.
