I wanted to let you all know about our upcoming fundraising event that will run during National Fibromyalgia Awareness Week ’17! We are hosting a coffee afternoon on Saturday the 9th of September, at The Oxford Centre, Longbenton, NE12 8LT, 2pm-4pm and everyone is welcome! Not only will we be raising money for FMAUK (£1.50 on the door which will pay for all your drinks), we are raising awareness of Fibromyalgia so the event will be open to all members and the public! Bring along your family, friends, anyone you want! Have a cuppa and a natter and join in with our raffles to win some wonderful prizes and raise money for the national fibromyalgia charity FMAUK! We will also be holding a cake competition, so bakers at the ready! Now Great British Bake Off is back on our TV’s it might inspire some wonderful cake creations! The cake competition will have a Fibromyalgia theme, so think purple, or yellow with black dots, or butterflies, whatever you can think of! Best in show will win a prize, and we will then raffle off the cakes that are entered into the competition!
It’s all very exciting! (especially when you love cake like me!)
There will also be an awareness stand with information on Fibromyalgia and our committee and group members will be on hand to discuss issues faced by people with Fibromyalgia.
Hoping to see you all there!
