I’d like to thank each and every one of our members for all their help and efforts to funraise for our support group over the past year! We’ve had an amazing year for fundraising and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without you! From donating gifts to our tombola stalls, to making handmade crafts to sell, to running the stalls themselves, to sharing about our events on social media, it all adds up!
We love and appreciate all of you!
At the Quorum Christmas Market we made a fantastic £157.77 in 3 hours!
We also raised awareness of this chronic illness, and met some people living with Fibromyalgia themselves. We gave information about our support group, and the other support groups in the area and also met another stall holder who I will be emailing about being a guest speaker next year.
This is why we do what we do. Not only to raise money to keep the group going, but we reach out and meet people who need support and raise awareness of invisible illnesses in our community.
Our fundraiser Ali made this important comparison last night on her Facebook page with the comment that ‘looks can be deceiving’ Whilst fundraising is amazing, and gives us all important goals and a drive to help, it definitely takes it out of all of us and our bodies are in incredible amounts of pain. On the outside we were smiling and not many would have been able to tell what we were going through.
Big love to all of you!
