June 18 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Our next group meeting is on Monday the 21st of May, 12:30pm-2:30pm at The Oxford Centre, Longbenton, NE12 8LT, Room One (next to the cafe area). If this is your first meeting it is completely free of charge to come along, if you are a regular member it is £2 on the door to help us pay for room hire costs etc. If you would like light refreshments of coffee/tea/juice/biscuits its £1 and unlimited refills. Our meeting room is on the ground floor and has disabled toilets near by. There is also disabled parking right outside and a big car park that is free of charge.
This meeting we will be welcoming along Bea from Needles & Hooks Angels and Preemies, a group who knit/crochet and donate items to hospitals to help out families in the community. This group also collects items to help family members while they’re in hospital and we are asking our group members to bring along one item with them to the group meeting on the 18th of June that can be donated. Things like a tube of toothpaste, a toothbrush, soap, shower gel etc. Please only do this is you are in a financial position where you are able to do so, and don’t worry if you aren’t able to bring something along. We will collect items donated and give them to Bea to help out with her charity work. Bea also collects dolls to donate to dementia patients. Our support group have been donating and helping out with Bea’s group for a while now, and many members have made blankets and donated dolls/dolls clothes.
Bea will let everyone know how they’re able to help out if they are wanting to get involved. If you would like to get in touch with Bea and look at what the group have done previously please have a look at their Facebook page by following this link: Angels and Preemies Facebook Page
After Bea has talked to our members we will of course have time to chat, catch up, and connect with members living with Fibromyalgia in our community.
I look forward to seeing you all!
