Chair Yoga: Mindful Moves for the Not So Fit

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you all know of some chair yoga classes that are coming up. Yoga and mindfulness go hand in hand and both are so good for both our physical and mental health.

The classes are ran by Sally Roach, who lived with ME/CFS in her 20’s and has a vast experience of working with people living with chronic illnesses, pain and fatigue. Sally has been teaching for 18 years and is qualified to teach various styles of Yoga and trained in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. She has trained with the Mindfulness Association in Mindfulness Meditation, Compassion and Insight and is on the UK listing of Mindfulness Teachers.

In this class you will be…

Exploring ways of moving and being to bring more ease to our daily lives, with mindful movement & sitting practice, breath & body awareness, deep relaxation, time for sharing & self care.

Yoga & Mindfulness help us to quieten our body’s stress response
and relax our mind and body. This turns down the volume on our physical and emotional pain and lifts our mood and energy.

Weaving ancient practices with current thinking to create a holistic approach for modern times.

This class is suitable for all levels of fitness. Wheel chair users are very welcome
