Calling all knitters!

Afternoon gang! We’re appealing for knitted or crocheted 18inch blankets to donate to Newcastle hospitals for premature babies. This is a cause very close to our hearts and we would be so appreciative and grateful to anyone who is able to make a blanket. Quorum Christmas Market

Our committee members will be at the Quorum Christmas Market on the 6th of December 11:30am – 2:30pm with our tombola stall to raise money to keep the support group going into next year and to raise awareness of Fibromyalgia in the local community. Metrocentre fundraiser

On Sunday the 3rd of December some of our members (and their friends and family) ran a tombola stall on the charity barrow in the blue zone of the Metrocentre to raise money for the support group, and to also raise awareness of Fibromyalgia in the community. Members have donated knitted clothing for local premature babies (NHAP)

Some of our lovely members have donated some knitted clothing which will go to local hospitals (RVI/QE/RAKE LANE). This came about as our Fundraiser Ali Bambra’s sister donates to NHAP (Needles, Hooks, Angels and Preemies. Ali thought it would be a wonderful idea to ask our members if anyone was able to knit already and was able to take some time to knit some clothing to help premature babies in our area. Our fundraising efforts so far…

So far this month we have been at the Gateshead Stadium Christmas Village raising money and awareness of Fibromyalgia in the community. Christmas hamper appeal

Yes…I said the ‘C’ word! Christmas is coming! We’re making up 3 hampers to raffle off at the Christmas meeting (18-12-17) and we already have some things to go in them, but we’re now appealing for Christmas food items (selection boxes, ginger bread, Christmas cake, nibbles..you get the idea..). Our previous Group Meeting (AGM) – 16-10-17

September’s National Fibromyalgia Awareness Week (3rd – 10th September 2017)

September saw us celebrate National Fibromyalgia Awareness Week from the 3rd till the 10th of September, and we had a great awareness week this year, with FMAUK saying it was one of the most vocal awareness weeks online!
