The Newcastle Fibromyalgia Support Group is a kind, inclusive, supportive, understanding community where members old and new are able to keep up to date with our meetings, art therapy craft sessions, and coffee & natter meet ups.
The group was founded in 2008 by Angela Campbell, and over the years, it has grown into a wonderful community, which brings awareness and visibility to fibromyalgia.
We’ll be celebrating our 10 year anniversary in April 2018, not long to go now!
Our support group meets at The Oxford Centre, Longbenton, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE12 8LT on the 3rd Monday of the month, from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm. We also hold art therapy craft sessions at The Oxford Centre and more relaxed Coffee & Natter sessions in different cafes around the city.
We’re always looking for help with our fundraising efforts to help keep the group going. This includes the day to day running of the group, as well as coming up with fundraising ideas and raising money. If you think you would like to help out, please do get in touch.
We’re also on social media, and we would love you to join us! There is a closed Facebook group for support and advice in a closed setting where you’re surrounded by people who understand what you’re going through. We also have a public Facebook page for keeping up to date with events and news, in addition to Twitter! Find us on Facebook: Open Facebook community page or Closed Facebook group page and Twitter: Newcastle fibromyalgia Twitter. If you feel it’s a more personal matter, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Meet the Committee
Our group is managed by a team of volunteers who have Fibromyalgia or have loved ones affected by the condition.
